Week 29/52 (Summer, Week 7)

Dearest Boys,

AAYBA was in full swing and you, Jax, had quite a few games throughout the week.   We love watching you play 1st base!

Trying to get a friend from your old soccer team out!

Safe at third!

Love that scoreboard (since y'all were "guests")!

Flower Mound Premier competed in the "All Star" Division with only a handful of other teams.  It was a lot different than last year but the small group made it easy for you to take 1st place in your division.

The celebrating continued at a teammates house.

You earned this glove as a prize for winning 1st place in a fielding competition during Opening Day!!

Your coach (David, next to you) was asked to coach the 9U select team and, luckily, many of these players - including YOU - will get to play together on that team!

I found it ironic that a baseball party turned into a basketball game : )

But it wasn't long before you boys were out of the pool and off to play ball!

The sports action continued as you tried tennis camp for the first time.  You went each morning for a few hours and it was much smaller than the others camps you've attended.

Colt, while Jax was away, you got to pick whatever you wanted to do!
One day you picked building a Lego set.

We spent another morning driving from house to house, delivering birthday invitations.

You also had playdates!
You & Connor:

You & Hank:

We wrapped up the week by wrapping up our reading of The BFG.  The book had y'all laughing quite a bit and so did the movie!

Pure happiness!

Week 28/52 (Summer, Week 6)

Dearest Colt and Jackson,

The beginning of Week 28 was the end of our time with Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Mike, Aunt Jess, and Hailey : (

We took it easy on Friday.

The Rabaduex adult males spent some time go-carting while us moms played in the pool with you kids.

We had a baseball commitment on Friday night, so everyone else dined at Medieval Times.  Colt, they said you were on the edge of your seat the whole show!

Saturday was opening day for AAYBA so we were gone the whole morning.
Your coaches set y'all up in a great spot!

Across from our tents, your team had the perfect view of the homerun derby.

When you weren't watching an event or competing in an event, you were running all over the place trading pins.

Us baseball moms stood around in awe of how grown and independent y'all seemed!

Opening day was also a chance to run into friends from other teams : )

We left the festivities early so we could meet the family for lunch at Rainforest Cafe.

Afterwards, Uncle Mike did some damage at one of his favorites - Bass Pro.

Grandpa & Grandma M. hosted us all at their house on Saturday night....but this was the only picture I took:

Everyone hit the road on Sunday morning.
But, have no fear, we're already making plans for our next get together!!

The rest of Week 28 was a whirlwind!  On top of all that comes with AAYBA, your swim season also had its final hoorah!

You both swam in the divisional swim meet on Tuesday.  It was held at local natatorium and it was your last meet of the season.

Coach Halle was AMAZING for the both of you and my fingers and toes are crossed that she'll be able to return to the team next summer!

The swim team celebrated a great season by having a private party at Hawaiian Falls on Thursday night.   There was an awards presentation, a yummy dinner, and tons of fun - but this is the only proof I have from the evening...

Jax, you had to miss that party because you had a game (one of seven that week) that night.  Your team played every day except Tuesday and you won more than you lost.

So, not only are we having a blast this summer - but our tans are top notch!  ;)

Week 27/52 (Summer, Week 5)

Dearest Jax & Colton,

We'd been anticipating Week 27 for a while because we knew our family was driving from Indiana to stay with us!
Before they arrived, we slipped in another visit to Hawaiian Falls:

And another family dinner:

Everyone rolled in over the weekend and we hosted a small get-together to celebrate our country's birthday.

Then we introduced the family to our no-longer-secret spot for firework watching and made sure to take our annual tailgate picture.

Tuesday was fun & cheap as we explored Fort Worth.  We started at the Botanical Gardens.

And we also checked out the stockyards and watched the cattle drive.

The day ended with a yummy BBQ dinner and I don't know why it wasn't photographed.?.? Maybe because Uncle Mike & Aunt Jess had already been there before ;)

Everyone got a taste of our sports schedule on Wednesday when we had both a swim meet & a baseball scrimmage on our calendar.

The meet was in Grandpa & Grandma's neighborhood!

Thursday was family road trip day and we drove the 2 hours to Waco.  The entire purpose was to visit Magnolia Market.  Since I doubt this will make sense by the time you read these, Magnolia Market is owned by Chip & Joanna - an adorable couple we like to watch on tv on their show, Fixer Upper.  After seeing it all on tv, we wanted to see the store, the silos, and the garden in person & it was as adorable as I imagined!

Thanks random stranger for the only group shot we got the entire week!
Thursday was also the day that we decided that, from now on, the Hoosier family will only be flying south in the winter and the four of us should do our visits in the summer!  : )
