October, the end

Dearest Colton and Jax,

The traditions and crazy sports schedules continued all the way through October.

Colt, your football team played games each Saturday.  One weekend the weather was gorgeous and warm!

Playing against buddies added to the fun!

Jax, you got in some extra baseball when you helped out the older Rattlers with some TEBA play.

And, while I never seem to photograph soccer, practices and games continued for that too.

The next football weekend flipped the switch and we were bundled and freezing - but still enjoyed the game!

Another baseball tournament took up much of the final weekend of the month.  It was the Costume Classic so y'all were in "costume"  :) Trying to get a picture of y'all with your new look was difficult...

...because this is more your style:

The uniforms were a success as y'all went on to win your division!

Grandma helped uphold the Monster Mile tradition and y'all went with her and some friends to her neighborhood's annual party.

Later that night, she helped you carve pumpkins.

Halloween fell on a Tuesday this year so we didn't stay out too long.  We started with the Fletchers and did the loop around their side of our neighborhood.

Of course, the night ended at our favorite house to visit!

Fall festivities are some of my favorites!!

October, the middle

Dearest Jackson and Colton,

Part way through the month I got to chaperone the 2nd graders on their trip to Sharkarosa.

We also got to cheer on our favorite baseball team at another tournament.

Your scout pack had their raingutter regatta.  You built a ship & raced it.  So fun!

Your school had their annual Bronco Bash fundraiser which meant you two got to run around with your friends all night.

We took an afternoon to meet up with Grandma at the pumpkin patch.

October, the beginning

Dearest Colt and Jax,

There is always so much to do in October and it's all fun!!

The first part of the month included a flag football game,

the Fall Festival in Grandma's neighborhood,

 another baseball tournament,

soccer practice in the rain,

pitching lessons,

cake baking with Grandma,

and this amazing cake that you proudly made for your pack's bake off!

That same night was your first time being on the color guard and you were so surprised by the weight of the flag : )

And this was all in the first 11 days!
