November

Dearest Boys,

November is a time to give thanks.  I am thankful for grandparents that will let you stay with them for a few nights and friends that you can share a schoolhouse with.

Our group went back to New Braunfels and made sure to stop at The Grove in Austin first.

Us girls started our trip a little earlier than the others by visiting the Dry Bar first thing.

That Bucee beaver is the mascot of every solid road trip through Texas.

Dinner at the Gristmill was the perfect way to end the day!

We were ready to divide and conquer the next day.  Men were off to Wurstfest while us women were off to shop!

While we were away, Grandma was sending me pictures of your adventures in fishing!

Lacrosse continued and I realized that it's a super fun sport to watch!

Your school held its annual Bronco Bash.

We volunteered at church and packed thousands of meals for those in need.

Grandma joined us to help too!

Fifth graders participated in the long-standing tradition of Colonial Day and I thought you looked adorable in your costume!

We did an escape room with a group from church.

We trotted for turkey on Thanksgiving morning.

And then winter threatened to join us.  However, our winter coats were still in the closet so we improvised hilariously.

You two are always at the top of my thankful list.  Thank you for being the best!!

October

Dearest Elvis & T-Rex Tamer,

October is always busy and this year was no different.

There was batting practice.

And a neighborhood block party.

And baseball games with Dad as a coach.

And soccer games where you kick right through the defender's legs : )

And a surprise lunch date at school because I took a half-day for an appointment.

And a trip to the State Fair with Grandma.

And a fun musical hosted by 3rd graders.

And some dancing in the rain.

And yummy treats.

And turtle sitting for your science teacher.

And silliness in the dugout.

And Halloween costumes for Gracie.

And the Monster Mile as Elvis.

And a phenomenal play that garnered high fives from every coach.

And a team lunch.

And a runner up finish.

And sweet baseball moments captured thanks to Laura.

And Grandpa's birthday.

And pumpkin carving.

And trick-or-treating with friends.

Whew!  I'm tired just remembering it all!
