November in Texas

Dearest Jackson & Colt,

We were all over the place in November. 

While in Texas, we had one final football Saturday.  Your team tried your best but it was tough competing against a team made up of kids of NFL players! 

 

The professional football players coaches from the other team, LaDainian Tomlinson and DeMarcus Ware, were so kind to take a picture with our team after they beat us : )

We also made time for your first camp out with your Scout Pack.  It was actually up in Oklahoma but that messes with my post's title : ) 

We set up our tent and you two were excited and ready to dive in to all the activities!

This is only half of the camping space that our pack took up and your den was really well represented there.

The first activity was leather work.

Then we went on to do some slingshot work.

The afternoon involved a big hike.  The rock formations along the way were truly amazing!  

Of course, the night ended with campfire songs, skits, and s'mores!

The 4 of us packed into our tent for a night of sleep that was less than our best.

 Everyone was all smiles the next morning!

We packed up camp and had closing flag ceremonies.

Lastly, we fit in a little fishing before hitting the road.

Our other Texas activity was watching your 4th grade program, Jax.  Y'all sang songs and played your recorders all around the theme of "Livin' Good [Healthy]"
