A Very Texas Christmas

Dear Jackson & Colt,

Today we took advantage of all the free stuff that Bass Pro Shop offers during the holidays.
There was an hour wait to see Santa - but I love that you're allowed to play throughout the store until it's your turn. That hour was just perfect as we got to ride the carousel.

(Sorry for focusing the camera on the reindeer instead of your precious smile.)

We also had time for both of your to slay this bear,

leave handprints all over their aquarium,

and observe the pond from this bridge.

This little game seemed harmless at first, but it's haunted us since...

Then it was time to see Santa!  We had a few people in line in front of us so we used that time to talk about sitting on Santa's lap and telling him things you'd like for Christmas.  It was a fun atmosphere and we really thought we had y'all hyped up about it...

Colt, you took off running towards the big guy as soon as you could!

But sitting on his lap .... not enticing to either of you!

It was kind of a rushed scene - therefore, I had no time to make sure your shirts and pant legs were pulled down.  While you both looked at the camera - neither of you look thrilled (to say the least).  And that is just one reason why I totally believe "You get what you pay for."

Interestingly enough, this shirt seems to be making its rounds...

And, after all that, Santa didn't hear one present request!  Yet, thanks to the lovely game shown above, we're now hearing that someone wants a "shooting gun" from Santa this year.  Sheesh!

Santa was exhausting, I guess, as this was you just a few minutes into our drive home : )

I have a feeling that Santa is doing the same thing right about now!
